About Us
LillyRow farm is a new venture for our family. We purchased this farm three years ago. We have been restoring the beautiful homestead (1880) and are restoring vitality and beauty back to the fields by planting rows of lilies, daylilies, and other perrenials.
The wonderful, formerly bee farm, had been filled with a variety of hardy perennials and native plants, with the goal of supporting the pollinators of the world, as that was their business. We continue to carry on that legacy of supporting our pollinators, by propagating and growing beautiful, hardy perennials, and nourishing native plants.
The daylily nursery stock on the farm was purchased from a lovely lady who ran an organic produce (CSA) farm and specialty daylily nursery for over 30 years. We also share in appreciating the importance of focusing on nutrient rich organic soil. As we dug up 20,000 daylily roots in the fall, the kids got a kick out of the worms that popped their head up every once in a while from that nutrient rich soil! We too wanted the most nutrient dense organic soil in which to grow our plants and gardens. We begin breeding compost worms in order to return vitality and biome health back to the soil.
While this venture is new for our family, our experience and love of plants has deep roots!
Owners Jessica and Dale have grown up learning about and appreciating beautiful flowers and plants.
Jessica's love for the outdoors started years ago when she embraced the serenity, beauty, and educational opportunities that nature has to offer! In High School, she asked her dad to hang coat hooks around her bedroom wall, so she could hang herbs to dry and decorate the walls. Jessica's love for learning through nature has only increased through the years! As a Licensed Massage Therapist for over twenty years, she has been utilizing nature and herbs by way of aromatherapy and essential oils. Jessica is so excited to share her passion of flowers and love of nature with her children and so many others!
Dale learned from early on recognition of and an appreciation for flowers and landscaping. He received a bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture from Utah State and has a minor in Ornamental Horticulture. With almost 20 years experience in his field, Dale continues to work full time as a licensed Landscape Architect.
